Domaine de la Citadelle Phone : 04 90 72 41 58 Email contact@domaine-citadelle.com Internet : http://www.domainedelacitadelle.com Located on the Northern slopes of the Luberon, the family vineyards are divided into 65 parcels in Côtes du Luberon appellation. It benefits from natural advantages : a diversity of soil types, altitudes, positions and Rhône grapes varieties. The policy in our vineyards is strongly based on tradition (no chemical fertilisers or herbicides are used, harvest is done by hand…) thus maintaining an important balance between the respect of the wine and the environment.
The winery was specifically designed to take advantage of the mural slope of the hill, so that all the processes, from the reception of the fruit to the bottling are done using gravity. You will be delighted to discover our Domaine with its stainless steel temperature-controlled vats allowing a constant monitoring of temperature during fermentation, and the ageing cellar with 180 barrels where our wines are being aged during 12 months.
The corkscrew museum exhibits more than 1000 pieces, ranging from 17th century up to now. From the first steel corkscrew forget by hand, to the decorative objet d’art made out of gold, ivory or silver, this unique collection is a guided tour throughout the centuries and various countries.
